Frequently Asked Questions
Rooftop
What is included in the Heineken® Tour + Rooftop ticket?
You’ll start with our 1.5-hour during, self-guided tour through Heineken®’s oldest brewery. During this tour, you will learn all there is to know about our heritage, the brewing process, and much more. The tour ends in the Best ‘Dam Bar, where you can enjoy two perfectly chilled beers. Afterwards, you’ll take the special elevator up to the rooftop, where you’ll learn more about the function of the former “Moutzolder” (malt attic). On our terrace, you can enjoy one of the best views of Amsterdam while having another fresh Heineken® beer.
Do I need to book a separate timeslot for the rooftop?
If you've already booked a combination-ticket (Heineken Tour® + Rooftop), you don’t have to book a separate timeslot for the rooftop. You can access the rooftop approximately 90 minutes after the starting time of your Heineken® tour.
If you only have a Heineken Tour® ticket and you'd want to visit the Rooftop as well, please contact our staff at the entrance hall.

HKN x You. How can I customize my own Heineken® beer?
We’re introducing a new twist to your Heineken® experience with HKN x You. We use Heineken® Silver as a starting point and customise your Heineken® the way you like it.
- Double Hopped: uses two types of hops to boost flavour and aroma, creating a bold, complex taste that hop lovers will enjoy.
- Dry: has a crisp, clean finish enjoyed by beer enthusiasts who prefer a lighter and less sweet taste.
- Super Dry: offers a crisp, super-refreshing taste with a delightful emphasis on dryness. It's perfect for those who love a clean, light beer experience.
- Smooth: has a velvety, soft texture that provides a balanced and gentle mouthfeel, enhancing the overall drinking experience.
- Super Smooth: offers unparalleled smoothness that sets it apart. Each sip glides effortlessly across your palate, leaving a velvety sensation. It strikes the perfect balance between malty sweetness and subtle hop bitterness, delivering a truly satisfying taste experience.
What are the Foam infusions?
We’re introducing a new twist to your Heineken experience by infusing your beer with exciting foam flavours, such as Bitterblood Orange or Pineapple Guave. With flavoured foam we infuse your beer, adding a unique and refreshing dimension to the classic Heineken taste.
Why foam? Foam is a natural and essential part of beer and is created by the brewing process. You recognize a well-poured Heineken Beer by its solid head of foam. But it doesn’t only look good, foam also affects your taste. Tip: Give the foam some time
What are the Pilot brews?
The pilot brews are small-batch beers that can be tried at the Heineken Studio. They are new creations that push the boundaries of lager.
Now on tap:
Wheat Lager: Crisp citrus tones with a smooth, velvet finish. It has a cloudy, dark, golden colour and has a slightly citrusy scent on a more spicy base.
